Med2TEC has a comprehensive Operation Theater (OT) Management Modules which facilitates the real-time management of the OT and surgeries. It provides a summary view of the theater schedules, bookings, elective activity and staff availability. The scheduling and booking of theater slots is easy to use and quick and enables all personnel involved to forward plan and allocate resources.
The referring doctor or authorised delegate can select the time, theater room, surgeon, anaesthetist and for administration and financial purposes, define the type of operation. Staff involved in the operation is notified via email which includes all the information relevant to the patient and required procedure. The complete history and patient information is available to theater clinical and nursing staff.
The web-based system effectively connects OT staff to relevant departments such as Pharmacy, Lab & Radiology. For example, medicine information from the pharmacy is available to the OT staff and OT staff can send their request for medicines online for a particular surgery on a particular date.
